Last week we went on a quick road trip about 5 hours from our house. We left at 4:30 am so the kids would sleep through most of it but I knew they'd need some fun new things to keep them happy for the drive. I found these Spider Man Hammers at the dollar store and thought they'd be great fun!
They are just blow up toys so once they discovered them in their baskets in the car I blew them up and watched to see what they would do. They had a blast whacking each other and us. They especially loved when I would "help" them whack daddy. They loved daddy being bopped on the head!
A year ago Lil Lady would have NEVER let this kind of play happen. She would have freaked out at the littlest thing whacking her. Now she is all giggles and smiles with it. I am soooo glad we have learned about sensory play!!

Look at that grin? Even though they got bored of this activity about 10 minutes later it was totally worth it. They will come in handy again for future play!
